Clerk of Works
Social housing landlords build and provide new homes, and manage existing housing stock. There are opportunities for people working in the trades and related occupations, ensuring that housing developments meet the required standards both during their construction and after completion. As a Clerk of Works, you will play an important part in this.
Your job is likely to include:
Reviewing the technical aspects of a project at the design and planning stages
Monitoring works on site to ensure the projects are being progressed to schedule and to the quality and standard required
Identifying actual or potential technical problems, cost and time over-runs and assisting in identifying solutions
Acting as the key customer liaison contact before, during and after major works with tenants, owners and other customers
Providing technical expertise and project support across asset management projects, including planned and cyclical maintenance, new build development and refurbishment work.
An HNC in a construction-related discipline, similar technical/property management qualification or equivalent experience would be expected for this role.
