Community Development Officer

Tenants have a right to say how their homes are managed and maintained. As a Community Development Officer, you will listen and respond to tenant and community needs. You will work with them to create and deliver projects that have a positive impact.

Your job is likely to include:

  • Working in partnership with tenants, resident and local community organisations to identify issues and solutions

  • Developing community projects that promote active citizen participation amongst people of all ages

  • Consultation and engagement, networking, project management and capacity building

  • Working with other agencies

  • Regular meetings with local organisations and community members to build relationships and progress projects.

Community and youth development qualifications are relevant for this role.
